MADE IN FRANCE YARIS CROSS_DESIGNED & PRODUCED IN EU
Yaris Cross is the one of the most successful model labelled ‘made in France’.
The exterior advanced design and CMF are designed in ED², and the products are made in TMMF in Onnaing. Purely European design made in Europe and for Europeans.
Iconic exterior advanced design was created in ED².
Yaris Cross took the SUV heritage of Toyota in Europe, such as RAV4 and CHR, yet the most compact B-SUV utilising the new global architecture platform. Taking all the advantages of SUV such as higher driving position, raised body which provide good grand clearance, while staying compact body for busy European cities.
INSPIRATION

We went to Genchi Genbutsu, literally means go and see to the source. This is for understanding customers’ needs as well as their lifestyle. Our findings were the target customers has active lifestyle with minimalistic design taste. Based on Genchi Genbutsu, we identified design concept key words, easy, fast and smart. We had to create a design with minimal yet robust styling showing agility and good stances. Creating dynamic surfaces and architecture gives robust feel. We named what we aimed for as ‘Nimble Diamond’ Slicing up the corner to emphasize the good stance.

CMF
Julie SCHWIEDER, our assistant chief CMF in short of Colour, Material and Finishes: ‘Its distinctive Brass Gold was developed specially for the target customers of this car. Green pigments on Gold make this car looked greenish brass gold at the certain angle you look at the car. This particular pigments gives traditional gold a fresh look like a zest of lime in a drink’.
