Are you looking to be part of a creative physical modeling team?

We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled Experienced Modeler to join us and create the next automotive design directions.

Company:Toyota Europe Design Development (ED²) has been established in Sophia Antipolis, France since February 2000.

Consisting of approximately forty persons from various nationalities, ED² is responsible for the advanced & experimental design for exterior, interior & CMF from a European perspective, working for both the Toyota and Lexus brands.

Situated in a prime location to benefit & inspire creativity in our workforce, our most recent projects include the Compact Cruiser (2021) AYGO-X  (2021), C-HR  (2024).

Missions: We are seeking a highly skilled & experienced “Physical Modeler” to join our small though knowledgeable team. Within this role you will be responsible for creating detailed physical models that accurately represent our brand designs. Your work will play a crucial role in the development & refinement of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality & performance.

Key Objectives:

• Develop & construct detailed physical models in various of materials.
• Collaborate with modelling team & designers.

Profile:

• Minimum of seven years of experience in physical modelling.
• Proficiency in clay modelling. {Knowledge or skills in, hard modelling, painting, welding considered as a plus}
• Knowledge or skills in using software such as CAD, CAM & 3D printing, as a plus.
• Strong understanding of automotive design principles & manufacturing processes.
• Excellent critical thinking skills, diligence and curiosity.
• Good analytical skills & the ability to interpret design intentions with creativity.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment & communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational & time management skills.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
